Hurray!!! SIEL is 1 year Old Today!!!
It has been an adventurous journey since we got incorporated one year ago. Despite challenges posed by the Covid-19, we still found a way around and rose above them. Looking back in hind-sight, we would like to list some of the gains and traction we achieved in the past 12 months:
- Designed and developed a solar-powered automatic mobile hand washing machine to combat the spread of Covid-19
- Our work has been recognized by both local and international audience.
- In the September 25th of 2020 PV Magazine (an international magazine), it was projected as one of the best Covid-19 hand washing machines in Africa.
- It was published in the November 10 2020 edition of Vanguard newspaper.
- It was received towards the launch of Youth Sustainable Energy Hub (YSEH) launch through which we (SIEL) were granted membership into the United Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY) and the SDG7.
- It was also exhibited to students of a renewable energy institute as a way of encouraging them and boosting their confidence
- We‘ve gotten enquires from various potential clients even one of which resides in the US.
- We have designed over 65kVA solar PV systems for our teaming clients
- We were short-listed among the top 100 start-ups in the 2021 UK-Nigeria Tech Hub iNOVO programme ( over 600 start-ups applied)
- Our product received 2million likes less than 3 weeks after listing in Facebook Marketplace
- We were short-listed among the top 20 start-ups in the 2021 UK-Nigeria Tech Hub iNOVO programme with access to their Accelerator2 platform, etc. ( concluded just yesterday)
- Several international deals/collaborations and many more.
We attribute all of these to God, our customers, friends and colleagues, mentors, etc. We thank you for your patronage, support and encouragement. We look forward to more productive and impactful years ahead.
